Hi, I am PJ.    Since graduating in 2005, I have worked as an occupational therapist in many different areas related to occupational therapy( children, rehab, community, hospital, work-rehab, mental health inpatient, community mental health, International Non-Governmental Organisations, Special School, Childcare Centre, Orphanages, Private practice). Due to my special interests in children, adolescents, disability and mental health, I have completed a graduate certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (NSW Institute of psychiatry).   I have a range of experience working with children, adolescents and adult populations. However, since 2018, I have focused primarily on children and adolescents. My special interest in the developmental model has led me to complete my DIR FLOORTIME training. I have been recognised as a DIR FLOORTIME COACH and International trainer.   During my carrier ventures,  I have always maintained a small practice in the paediatric population, especially with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am a trained Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) clinician ( I was part of the ESDM implementation program in Australia for nine months under KU Marcia Burgess). My previous training also includes Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA); however, my therapeutic approach is highly driven by developmental approaches such as ESDM and DIR FLOORTIME. I have researched( dissertation presentation) sensory integration Inventory-Revised for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities as a part of my graduation completion and possess skills in identifying and managing sensory processing disorders.   I am also an endorsed mental health clinician. In my previous roles, I provided mental health crisis assessment, counselling, and managing severe and enduring mental illness and mental disorders. I also managed and worked alongside a big team of professionals delivering mental health services in Northern Sydney Local Health Districts. I have used a range of therapeutic and occupational therapy-based models and focused psychological counselling strategies(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Project Air strategies.)   I formed a beautiful team of skilled therapists in 2021 and started a small clinic, Umbrella Therapy Services. I am so privileged to be surrounded by such amazing people in my life.   When I am not working, I love spending time with my wife and three beautiful children and making movies:)

She is a student of Psychology. She loves playing with kids and trying different games. Nowadays, she likes to research various topics, including making games for children in her free time. It is easy to spot her in the Clinic if you see someone working in a clinic with Red chubby cheeks, wearing a formal dress and having a ponytail. Guess what! That's her.
